Gil Piger
Schooled under such Masters as Narcisco Yepes, Emilio Pujol Manuel Lopez Ramos, and Jose Luis Rodrigo, Gil is now performing more popular and varied offering of musical selections. His unique blend of jazz, Latin, flamenco, and classical idioms combine to create an energetic new musical style he calls "Flamenco Fusion".
Piger both composes and performs all of his own music. He has published some of his works in Spain and in the U.S. His proudest composition is his concerto for guitar and orchestra, "Concerto for '76", which premiered in February of 1980. Recently, he finished his "Peace Concerto". This Concerto is in four movements and has as yet to be scheduled for a premiere.
Technically proficient as a composer, performer and instructor, Gil began composing at the early age of eight. The first of his music to be published was in Spain (1967) under the guidance of world renown guitarist Narcisco Yepes. He now publishes his own works which are available for guitarists
