Lindsey Rahn is new on the music scene in northwest Arkansas. At age 24, she holds a bachelor's degree in Jazz Studies from Brigham Young University-Idaho. She has played in numerous jazz bands and combos, latin bands, percussion ensembles, and classical bands and orchestras.

Born in Vancouver, Washington, Lindsey began playing on pots and pans at age 4. Throughout school, she was awarded numerous awards and scholarships for mallet percussion and drum set.

Lindsey attended Brigham Young University-Idaho on scholarship for music and was equally involved in jazz and classical percussion for the duration of her time there. Her main instrument was the drum set, and she was able to take lessons from the famed Jay Lawrence for four years, during which time her drumming abilities were catapulted to a professional level.

She now resides in Rogers, Arkansas with her husband Doug. She teaches lessons that very from jazz drum set to South American hand drums to mallet percussion. She's currently playing with the famed Jack Mitchell Big Band, the pop/funk trio Soulstice Trio, and is often a guest with with various other jazz, rock, pop, and funk bands.

I have a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University-Idaho in Jazz Studies. My primary instrument is drum set, but I'm also well-versed in jazz vibes, concert percussion and solo marimba. Lessons start at $15 for half an hour. I teach every day but Sunday- call me for availability.
