Christoph Irniger, born in 1979, began his musical career with the age of 11. From 2000 till 2004 he studied at the Jazzschool of Zurich with Christoph Grab, Thomas Grnewald and Rtus Flisch, as if from 2004 till 2006 at the Jazzschool of Lucerne with Nat Su, John Voirol and Kurt Rosenwinkel. He stayed in New York for several times, where he had additional studies with: Mark Turner and Ari Hoenig. He had Workshops with: Dave Liebman, Chris Cheek, Enrico Rava, Nils Wogram and was participant of Sienajazz '01 and '05, as if Generations '04. He got a scholarship of the Friedel Wald Stiftung in '04 and won the borsa di studio for Sienajazz '06. He played many concerts in Switzerland, Germany, France, USA and Island with his Quartet, Cowboys from Hell, Lucerne Jazz Orchestra and many other Jazz-, Funk-, Reggaebands and classical Orchestras.
He is also working as teacher for the music schools of Zurich, Regensdorf and Wil-Land.
