The Beaty Brothers Band

The Beaty Brothers Band is something that has grown out over years of friendships and experiences that can't be described in words. After arriving in New York City in August 2001 The Beaty Brothers (Twins John and Joe originally from Beaumont, Texas~ if you don't know where that is they will forgive you) were very fortunate in meeting some great like minded musicians to grow with. At that time John and Joe met two of the musicians you will hear on their debut recording Yayoi Ikawa and long time close friend and bassist Jim Robertson. Together John, Joe, Jim and Yayoi formed a nucleus that has with stood the test of time and many musical changes. On the record you will also hear the very talented and gifted Ari Hoenig on cymbals and drums. They Beaty's line up has included and still will continue to include many talented younger and older musicians from the New York City jazz scene such as Jonathan Powell, Kenny Grohowski, Jason Lindner, Richard Padron, and hopefully many more great musicians who are willing to step into the Beaty's musical World

John and Joe combine their unique background, experiences, and humor to provide food for everyone's thoughts and soul. Anyone who is gracious enough to spend an evening with them at a show will quickly hear the bond in John's saxophone and Joe's trombone and the original music they have written together that has been developed over the 26 years since their birth. On behalf of the Beaty Brothers Band thank you for taking the time listen and open yourself to the music.
