First on trumpet which he played for 8 years before switching to the flute, though he never stopped playing the piano. At the same time, he pursued language studies (English and German) at the University of Reunion Island ” a French territory. In 1985 Bruno decided to focus entirely on music and went to Berklee College of Music. He did a few semesters and got a 2-year certificate. He then returned to Reunion Island and became the head of a local music school. Three years later he resumed his studies and finally graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1991. In 1992, he moved to Paris where he remained very active as a performer, composer and educator for 7 years. In 1999 he moved to Singapore to be a full time music teacher but soon got introduced to the local scene and produced a jazz CD “Logical Nonsense” with his own compositions and also took part in the band “Bali Lounge” that came to the attention of MTV though a song that he co wrote. ‘Bali Lounge’ was nominated “artist of the month’ on MTV Asia with the song “Something’s Wrong” and was later nominated as “Best Newcomer in Indonesia” for the year 2005!
