The Chris Illingworth Trio formed in 2005. Chris Illingworth and Finlay Panter have been playing together for many years and were lucky enough to meet Grant Russell at the RNCM. Chris and Finlay have recently finished their studies at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and Grant Russell is in his fourth and final year at the college. All three are classically trained and share a mutual passion for jazz and many other styles of music. They draw inspiration for their own works from styles including Be-Bop, Cool School, Hip-Hop, Drum & Bass, Electronica and Trip-Hop.
