Nick Eipers

Nick Eipers is the President and Founder of Chicago Sessions, a jazz record label which features exclusive recordings of Chicago jazz artists. The label is unusual in that only original compositions of each artist are recorded. He is also the recording engineer and producer of each album.

Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Nick Eipers began his career as a freelance recording engineer in 1992, working at renowned Chicago studios; Chicago Recording Company, Studiomedia Recording Company, Star Trax Recording and Chicago Trax. While never working exclusively as a jazz recordist, Eipers found an affinity working with jazz artists, and it quickly became a specialty of his. By the early 2000s, he found himself adopting the additional role of producer on some of the jazz albums he engineered, notably with distinguished composer and artist Don Skoog. In 2008, Eipers launched Chicago Sessions.
