I was inspired to start playing in the early 70s by British progressive bands such as Soft Machine and avant American jazzers and jazz rockers like Coltrane, Miles Davis and Chicago. Guitar has always been my main instrument but I have been involved in the London improv scene for five or six years as a clarinetist although I prefer not to draw lines round my musical activities. B.Mus (Hons) and M.Mus in Contempoarary Music Studies. Taught B.Mus Indeterminacy and Improvisation course unit at Goldsmiths College, University of London - spring term 2008. Various individual instrumental tuition on guitar. Available for teaching evenings/weekends. £20/hour
