Coming from a classical background - she studied classical piano at the Conservatory of Bologna - Emilia's interest for jazz started while she was studying German in Berlin and soon evolved into an abiding passion.
Attracted by the stimulating Dutch jazz scene she moved to Holland in the early '90s. InThe Hague she studied jazz singing with Susanne Abbuehl and Jeanne Lee and she has been performing with pianist Augusto Pirodda and trumpet player Victor Borkent's octet Vic's! and Big Band Straight Life....
