Born: February 19, 1961    Primary Instrument: Piano

Although probably best known for his advertising scores and jingles for companies like Sandoz, Dairy Queen, Franklin Insurance, The St. Louis Cardinals and other well known companies, Phil Loder is also an accomplished record producer, film composer, arranger, musical director, jazz vocalist and pianist. His unique talents are frequently sought out by artists as diverse as rap, country, rock, easy listening, and jazz. Loder also continues to perform and record classics from The Great Ameriacan Songbook with his popular group The Phil Loder Trio.

In 2000, Loder gained international recognition when his score for the motion picture “Silent Cry” toured the world on the film festival circut. In the past year he has also completed the soundtracks for two children's videos.

2000 also marked Phil's debut as a producer and recording artist with the release of The Phil Loder Trio's “Standards Vol. I.” Recently, Loder produced Al Hammerman's vocal and big band CD “All New Songs.” In addition to producing the CD, he also wrote the arrangements and contributed his smooth, swinging vocals to three songs on the big band project. Loder's upcoming projects include a smooth jazz CD, The Phil Loder Trio's “Standards Vol. II, a new Al Hammerman CD, a collection of sacred solo piano recordings, and continuing to write music for advertising and film.

Over the past decade, Loder has developed over a hundred successful jingles and music campaigns for some of the nation’s most respected marketers and brands. His reputation for creative integrity and craftsman-like detail has also provided opportunities to work with entertainment legends like Nancy Wilson, Johnny Cash, Michael Ball, Ernest Tubb, Billy Williams, Jeremy Davenport, and Farron Young.
