Leonard continued his music development by taking piano lessons and became enthralled with the music masters Beethoven, Bach and Chopin.
By age 17, Leonard had earned a reputation as an accomplished saxophonist and pianist and embarked on a professional career with stage production bands and rock n' roll groups at various venues throughout Southern California including performances at the Hollywood Bowl.
