A Los Angeles native and the daughter of one of Hollywood's Top studio and session musicians, music has always fueled the soul of April Williams, whose vocal style effortlessly melds jazz and pop into an appealing concoction of song. Especially captivating in Live Performances, April has shared the stage with such diverse musical talents as Gary Foster, Tom Ranier, Andy Langham, Sam Most, Carl Saunders, Chris Colangelo, Barry Zweig, Chris Connor, Putter Smith, Stacey Rowles, Tom Warrington and Dave Stone, Glenn Morrisette, Rich Eames & Dick Weller.
April has appeared as a Guest Artist at the North Umberland Jazzfest in 2008 and Marlboro Music Festival in 2007-2008 along with European dates in the Netherlands. April's numerous credits also include stints with the Los Angeles Civic Light Opera at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and the Mark Taper Forum as well as performing at the Old Globe Theater in San Diego, Solvang Theaterfest and the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco.Currently, she is creator/producer of Down Beat Entertainment, Chairman of Symphony In the Glen Development Committee and creator/producer of the Young Artist Forum of Los Angeles, creating professional venues for live music performances. She also initiated Sotheby’s Jazz night and Studio Jazz night as creator/producer.
