I've been playing guitar for 17 years, with the first 12 or so consisting mostly of metal/rock/blues/shred styles. Jazz was intimidating to listen to at first, but I think I finally "got it" after listening to everything I could for the past 5 years. I play in a guitar/cello duo called Puppy Smell.
