Ron Kearns

Ron Kearns is a producer, educator, arranger and recording artist. He is a Vandoren Artist. He produced Terell Stafford's first two CDs,Paul Carr's debut CD and has six CDs released under his own name—Handprints, The Ron Kearns Quintet Live! at Blues Alley—Blues in the Alley, Looking Back, Stepping Forward, Ron Kearns Live at Montpelier,Introspective and Quiet Nights. He has over 40 CD productions to his credit.

GRAMMY Educational Award-Signature School (twice), Down Beat Excellence in Jazz Education Award (Jazz Achievement 2005), 50 Most Influential Directors (2002)

The Ron Kearns Quintet will be performing at Ryles Jazz Club in Cambridge, MA, May 26, 2004. This will be Ron's first Boston area performance fronting his own group. Ron will be joined by his long time sideman, Kenny Reed (trumpet/flugelhorn) who recently relocated to the Springfield, MA area.
