Born: July 28, 1960 Primary Instrument: Piano
I completed my graduate studies in Jazz performance (M.M 1994) and Music Education (Ph.D 2003) at the University of North Texas. Since then I have been composing and performing as well as teaching graduate courses as an adjunct lecturer in the humanities and arts department at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, the Musicology department at the Hebrew University in Mount Scopus, and the general studies program at the Max Stern Accadmic College of Emek Yezrael. Also I direct the jazz band of the Witzo-Leobeck school of arts in Haifa. Courses that I teach include: history of jazz, world music, psychology of music, and improvisation. My first disc Figment was recorded in 1996 with Dror Bar-Israel on saxophones, Udi Kazimirski on bass and Gideon Paschov on drums. I have just released my new disc Toreadore together with Valerie Lipets on bass and Dani Benedikt on Drums. This disc is available in Israel at the Tav Hashmini music stores http://www.tav8.co.il or at cdbaby.
