Anne Walsh was raised in Worcester, Massachusetts where a large Brazilian population dwells, and as a child her vivid imagination was initially captured by songs ranging from Broadway productions like The Sound Of Music, and singers like Ella Fitzgerald, to the distinctive jazz-pop stylings of Brazil '66. She studied music extensively, eventually earning a Master’s degree in music after moving West. Walsh performed in clubs, light operas and musicals, all of which helped shape her unique musical identity. She has performed at clubs and concert venues throughout California including The Carpenter Center, McKinney Theater, The Jazz Bakery, Spaghettini, and Spazio. Now residing in Long Beach, she’s on staff teaching at the American Musical & Dramatic Academy in Hollywood.

Credentials/Background:
Anne has been teaching voice for over a decade, and is currently on the
teaching faculty at AMDA, LA. She taught vocal conservatory at Orange County
High School for the Performing Arts, where she periodically conducts master
classes, and is on applied faculty at Mount St. Mary's College.
Anne teaches the technique for all styles of singing and her students have
appeared in diverse productions on stage and screen including Broadway
productions, the Hollywood Bowl, American Idol, and Disney's Hannah Montana.

Clinic/Workshop Information:
Clinics range from specifics in vocal technique and performance, to audition
techniques, and many other "real world" information. Because of Anne's
extensive and varied performance experiences, she is able to give a broad, and
deep overview of the types of circumstances that students are likely to
encounter, and help provide them with a wide variety of helpful hints and
expertise. Having been schooled classically, studied with numerous high level
teachers and performed professionally in Opera, Musical Theater, Pop and Jazz,
she is able to provide a broad variety of technical expertise as well as real world
experience.
