David enters the jazz department of the Conservatory of Lyon in France in 1997 and studies with Jacques Helmus and Mario Stantchev. In 2000 he graduates from the Conservatory and receives A gold medal. He then studies on several occasions with David Liebman, Michael Brecker, Wynton Marsalis, Jerry Bergonzi…He performs with his own quintet and also with Colorblind, Alfio Origlio, Nicolas Folmer, Sangoma Everett, Keziah Jones… He records a CD with the group Metropolitan Jazz Affair, participates in festivals in France (Jazz in Vienne, Le Printemps de Bourges, Pantiero in Cannes…) and abroad (Bancko Jazz Fest in Bulgaria, Trova festival in Cuba, Cargo in London, The Mercati Generali in Sicily…). After several musical stays in New York where he records his debut CD (“New life”) with Bill Stewart, Johannes Weidenmueller and Franck Amsallem in 2004, he settles in Paris and now performs in guitarist Sandro Zerafa quintet, with Talkin’ About and also with David Doruzka, Siegfried Mandon, David Sauzay, Yutaka Shiina, Louis Winsberg…
