Butch Campbell

Butch Campbell Guitarist, Composer, Producer, Jazz Educator. Biography: Butch Campbell is a New York based guitarist and producer. Mr. Campbell, a native of Philadelphia, Pa., attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, and has performed and or recorded with Stanley Turrentine, Charles Earland, Marlena Shaw, Japanese artists Teramusa Hino, Masabumi Kikuchi, and many others. As a sideman he has recorded in many different settings of jazz from organ trios, to contemporary jazz, to fusion. On records and CDs Mr. Campbell has played in rhythm sections whose members have included musicians Harvey Mason, Steve Thornton and Marcus Miller. Mr. Campbell has appeared at the various clubs and jazz festivals through out the United States, Europe and Japan. In New York, Mr. Campbell is a musical director and arranger for a growing number of jazz and blues vocalists, and he also gives private guitar instruction.
