Curt has been a performing guitarist/recording artist for the past 30 years and a private music instructor for the last 20 years. As an educator and author Curt has published over 30 books on music, guitar and ukulele. Curt maintains a roster of between 40 to 60 private guitar, bass and ukulele students a week.
Curt has been published by Just Jazz Guitar magazine.
Curt designed and maintains the Internet's most comprehensive resource for jazz guitarists and ukulele players. Here is what jazz guitarist Joe Finn had to say about the site: One of the internet's most comprehensive resources for the jazz guitarist is jazzguitarresources.com where you will find outstanding information about luthiers, instructional materials, instruments, and the musicians themselves. I especially like the new interview section. Webmaster Curt Sheller, who is also a terrific guitarist, has done the jazz guitar community a great service with this fine site.
As a jazz guitarist Curt performs in and around the Philadelphia area solo and in a variety of duo and trio settings.
As a ukulele player Curt has performed and given workshops at several annual ukulele festivals across the US including Indianapolis, New York City, Los Angeles, and Baltimore.
