Calaminus is a one-man-project from Stuttgart/Germany, “founded” in 2003, with the aim to produce groove-orientated instrumental music with the focus on genres like Funk, (Nu)Jazz, Acid Jazz, Fusion & Groovy Pop.

In the early 90s he started as a singer/songwriter on the acoustic guitar and switched to the electric guitar in the late 90s, where he recorded his first two albums. The following years, he developed his sound and abilities in playing by joining several bands which were responsible for his change of musical style from pop to jazzy funk.

Since then he works with Samples & Loops, VST-plugs & sequencing - played mainly on keys.

One result was his first album “Filet de Fonque”, written and produced in 2010 by himself, showing his approach on groovy music with a spice of jazz.

Calaminus NEWEST RELEASE “On The Trail” is moreover a blend of several funky genres (Acid Jazz, Funk, Jazz, Fusion) and World Music influences. A flavoured journey through 2 years of creating & evolving his music style further:
