Presentation (Inverted biography)

Acoustic trio/ solo (today) - Quartet (2007-2005) - Change of course (2004) - Baïkal Duo (2003-1985) - Her studies (1985-1969)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Acoustic trio / solo (today) “My intention, in acoustic trio, is to approach a new sound and to create so a link between my experienceof classic scene and that more recent of my precede quartet Jazz of the world. Take up with my Bayan (classic accordion) while creating a dialogue World-Jazz with the saxophone and the percussions enriched my conception of the accordion and my creation. Indeed, the very grave basses of the keyboard left hand of Bayan, its profound tone and its multiple stamps allow a sound universe in trio which can replace the intervention of a bass player. So, to ally the musical requirement to the pleasure of the scene(stage) is a constant and exciting challenge. Diego Fano (saxophone and clarinet) and Yann Pajean (percussions), companions(journeymen) of creation and scene(stage) participate magnificently by their big talent in this artistic collection. I thus have the pleasure to propose you JACQUES PELLARIN ACOUSTIC TRIO for a friendly concert with a program of crossed and colored personal compositions, an invitation in the journey, the music served by a really very original formation. “ Album Sound of Philadelphia - Jacques Pellarin trio - 2009

Jacques PELLARIN - BAYAN (classical accordion) Diego FANO - Saxophones soprano (alto and clarinet) Yann PAJEAN - Percussions (Conga drums caron-bongos - carillon - drum kit with snare drum - cymbal - charleston...) Through my compositions, I invite the public to discover an accordion chameleon, outside clichés “accordeon music”, which crosses by very eclectic styles as the nuevo tango, the rumba, the sound, and the other Latin rhythms, the milonga, the waltz swing, the sertao and the samba of the brésil, the ballad-jazz, the music inspirations of the Balkans or the Yiddish fleurtant with the Jazz and the other surprises of more classic spirit “. Jacques Pellarin.

Realization of an album of studio solo, more intimist of chamber music for bayan or accordeon with numerous instruments invited as the darbouka, the carillon, the violin, the bandoneon, ....” CHAMPLONG” april 2007.

Quartet (2007-2005) Of its friendly meeting with Yann Pajean will be born the envy(urge) for a new orientation: the creation of one musicians' “ Dream team “ of jazz to be able to interpret these compositions. In the end : “ they are four musicians which enchants the public; accompanying Jacques PELLARIN, Yann PAJEAN presides(officiates) in the percussions (drum, conga drums, darbouka), Diego FANO in saxophones and Bertrand BELLY in the bass or Claude NOVENTA in the guitar. They take their public in Brazil in Argentina and in diverse European countries with diverse styles: jazz-Latin, nuevo tango, waltzs swing, mambo, samba and especially the very particular touch of the compositions of Jacques Pellarin.”

Release of a first album world - jazz in quartet “ Sous d'autres Jazzitudes “ (Accordeon-Sax-electric bass-drums and diverse instrumentalists invited as the violin ...) in january 2005 (Numerous concerts in quartet). Success editoriaux international for the compositions of Jacques which enter music editor catalogs as PARSIPARLA Published (France) and Global Graffiti Music (Los Angeles-USA). Change of course (2004) In 2003, following 7 months of théatrales tours with Baikal Duet (théatre of Saint-Denis, Paris and festival of Avignon) Jacques Pellarin ends his career of classic concert performer and begin later wall up reflection a change of artistic course. It opens then in a new instrumental universe more jazzy, without denying his origins “classic”.

He dedicates itself henceforth mainly to the musical writing, the recording, while keeping his passion to play in more intimate places (cellars of jazz, café with live music, exhibitions).

Baïkal duo, a complicity of 18 years (2003-1985) On the occasion of a concert to Yverdon in 1985 (Switzerland), he gets acquainted of the talented accordionist Jean-Luc Brunetti and suggests him creating “ Baikal Duo “. It is the beginning of the fascinating musical adventure which made them travel well beyond the borders of France; 5 tours in Japan, festivals in Quebec, England, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and Germany. During these numerous movements, the duet was invited in numerous TV programs and radio. The duet also realized four albums among which three dedicated in the traditional Russian music but also in Bach, Piazzolla, Pacalet and Bratch (Eclectismes, Souffles et souffles, Vagabondages). Taken out in 2003, the last one cd is a grouping of original compositions..

His course is also crossed by numerous recordings in studio for singers and realization of sound tracks. Since 1992, he composed more than 70 opuses and arrangements in very eclectic styles. (compositions) During all this period, he taught in music schools, in Savoy. Theatrals tours in soloist and with Baikal Duo also marked out its course.
