Pasional (Passionate), Alexandra Cabanilla’s first album, unites two different yet vital influences in her career: traditional Ecuadorian music and jazz.
Musicians from all around the world have contributed with their talent and hard work for the accomplishment of this project. Its main goal is to develop an interpretation of Ecuadorian music from an external perspective, unfamiliar with its social environment and cultural influences.
The result is a fascinating mixture of sounds with a vast artistic contribution discovering the most delicate and charming melodies in Ecuador’s tradition.
