Please allow me to introduce myself; I am primarily a harmonica player but I also play other instruments as well such as piano, guitar and some percussion. I am also a composer and also experiment with vocals. In anycase, I will always and firstmost be a harmonica player. I am overall interested in the use of the chromatic harmonica with generes of music such as jazz and classical music. I have been a demonstrator for the italian division of Hohner harmonicas and am presently a SUZUKI ENDORSER. I have recorded two complete works, QUANTA where I play as a solo artist and FILM CIECHI. QUANTA contains fifteen of my compositions and is dedicated to the themes of nature and physics, showing the possibilty of communication between the two worlds and human beings. A subject that has interested me for sometime and has also led me to become an astronomer at the Asiago Conservatory. The FILM CIECHI is a compilation of soundtracks deriving from famous films and cartoons, interpreted in a “fun jazz style”. My other credits include a collaboration with the Nu-Jazz group Sicania Soul, a trio of my fellow countrymen by way of Sicily formed by DJ Erik Cascone, Mauro di Martino and myself. My future projects include new original works which will be a continuation from the QUANTA project. TODAY, 19/02/09, I'VE PUBLISHED A JAZZ STANDARDS ALBUM WITH THE ITALIAN JAZZ LABEL RED RECORDS. IN THIS CD I PLAY WITH GUIDO DE LEONE’S TRIO, A GUITAR PLAYER WHOM I’VE BEEN COLLABORATING WITH FOR QUITE SOME TIME AND HAVE BEEN A “SPECIAL GUEST” ON HIS CD “TRIBUTE”. WE HAVE BOTH ALSO PERFORMED ON PAOLA ARNESANO’S (SEE MY FIRST 8 TOP FRIENDS' MYSPACE PAGES) ALBUM, MEMORIE D’ITALY. THE TITLE OF MY CD IS "MY FOOLISH HARP" AND THE VERY SPECIAL GUEST ARE: FABRIZIO BOSSO, ROBERTO OTTAVIANO, GIANLUCA BARBARO, PAOLA ARNESANO AND RENATO GEREMICCA. I do want to also mention that I have formed a jazz harmonica 4tet whose repertory consist of my own original compositions along with classic jazz standards. I also perform the Duke Ellington classics in duo with pianist Riccardo Ballerini. I’m also part of the crazy group “I virtuosi dal pianeta talento” which plays a repertoire of the unforgettable Frank Zappa. In my classical repertoire it is possible to find my transcriptions from Bach, Debussy and Faurè music as well as pieces written properly for harmonica, piano and/or orchestra by H.

Villa-Lobos, Darious Milhaud, Gordon Jacob, Vaughan Williams, Malcolm Arnold. I also work with a very good piano player Noriko Morimoto, black belt of piano, with whom I have just finished to record a CD of classical pieces written for harmonica; the Leopoli Philarmonic and the Alborada string quartet.
