Born: February 28, 1974 Primary Instrument: Guitar
Daddo singer/songwriter/guitar player/producer is a man who is also known as DRIFTKIKKER.
Born into artistic family, Daddo was encouraged to be creative from an early age. Being surrounded with artists from different backgrounds and disciplines through his childhood helped him set fundaments in his quest for goal and ideal of self-expression. This eventually leads him to enter the art school at the age of 14 where he studies to be a sculptor, subsequently he starts playing guitar learning his first chords and chops. Being self-taught he develops his unique concept through listening and visualizing a wide variety of music ranging not only from jazz to punk, but also different musical styles from around the world. Applying elements of these styles to his creative process and blending it with lyrics which are based on personal views and observations of daily life, while describing the world through urban philosophy that evokes emotional challenges in the listener, marks his now trademarked music style.
His works with interactivity and jazz earned him credits at the early stage of his career at the end of the 90’s. Having a creative spirit that’s thirsty for inovation brought him in contact with some of the worlds renowned musical icons. During one of the interactive avant-garde performances he have met with Vitali Imerelli the last protégé of Stephane Grapelli from whom he received a wealth of musical knowledge. Daddo is respectively following in the tradition of free approach to the music implementing different musical styles such as funk, latin, jazz, rock, pop, reggae, trip-hop and trance, fusing them in one contemporary sound giving an unique perspective to the music. Beginning of the new century he goes to Florida for a while and does a number of solo gigs around local clubs including Tobacco Road in Miami, one of the oldest jazz/blues clubs in the world. Having collected enough material for his debut he forms Driftkikker in 2005 during the studio sessions while working on “Coming of the light”, that sets a precedent in todays Jazz as being innovative, fresh, appealing and cutting edge at the same time.
Through the years Daddo’s approach to music has been described as a “new standard” and “out of this world”, while his snappy nature at times earned him a nickname “Driftkikker”.

“Coming of the light” is very relaxed album with trip-hop, jazz and rock influences… swinging beats, cre-
ative programming and ambient sounds. Whole has enough sharp edges and original angles to avoid estab-
lished paths of the “Lounge”.”
- FRET magazine
“This album will be easy to fall in love with!”
- DJ Suefo Radio Tilos in Hungary
