Born 1973 in Mie, Japan. Mari learned the classical piano at the age of 3 and the percussion at the age 9.Upon graduating from the Senzoku Gakuen College with a classical music degree.She had received the Maeda Music Prize and Japan Classical Music Competition Special prize. In 1999, She enrolled the Berklee College of Music in Boston. She has also studied with Ed Saindon, Dave Samuels,Victor Mendoza and Nancy Zeltzman.In 2003, Mari went back to Japan to begin her professional career as a musician, composer.In 2007, Mari started her own label-Erato Music.In 2008, She released her first CD “Erato” as a leader.In 2010, She released her second CD “Sunflower” .With amazingly talented musicians.
