A British singer based in London, Auriol Proudfoot is fast leaving her mark on the London scene with her trademark sultry vocals, sparkling performances and musical flair. Having originally trained intensively as a classical musician and jazz singer as a music scholar at Wells Cathedral School of Music, Auriol now runs a top jazz band and has performed in renowned music venues, weddings, corporate functions and private parties across London and the South East.
Most recently seen entertaining at the star-studded ‘coming out’ party for rugby legend Gareth Thomas, Auriol has built up a reputation for consistently first class performances. Over the last five years, Auriol has held residencies in various London celebrity haunts and exclusive members bars, such as the Volupté Lounge, the Brickhouse, CellarDoor and MintLeaf Bar, where her vivacious performances have captivated celebrity audiences. Other notable performance venues & clients include the Leicester Square Theatre, Movida, Wentworth Golf Club, Shoreditch House, world-renowned 606 Jazz Club, Boxmoor Trust Music Festival, Rigby and Peller, and Attitude Magazine. Auriol has also entertained a long list of red carpet stars including Kelly Osbourne, Rhys Ifans, Jeremy Clarkson, Supergrass, Will Young and Brian Freedman.
Brilliant as both background entertainment and centre-stage performer, Auriol adapts to the audience and event to set the mood, and performances have been received to great acclaim with rave reviews from clients and press. Available as a part of a jazz duo, trio, quartet, or larger party band, Auriol works with some of London’s highest-calibre musicians to create quality entertainment in the form of jazz duos, wedding bands, party bands, and corporate function bands. Her versatility is exceptional, with an extensive repertoire that is continually growing, and that covers Jazz & Rat Pack, Pop & Contemporary, Cabaret, Love Songs, Classic Party and Funk Music. Her voice mixes the smooth chocolatey vocals of Ella Fitzgerald with the fiery chilli of Peggy Lee. She sings the jazz standards with the poise and class of years gone by, but also specialises in reinterpreting current pop songs in swing and cabaret styles when the occasion suits, from the likes of Nirvana, Kylie and Britney.
