Tyra Penn sings around New England with Her Army Of Snakes, a jazz-based band performing songs from the modern American songbook; and with jump blues and swing band The Red Riders. Until recently, Tyra was also the host of the morning drive time jazz program “A Tasteful Blend”, on WICN in Worcester. Now a fugitive from the jazz police, she and her Snakes slither around the music of Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen, Kurt Weill, and whatever else strikes their reptilian fancy.
