Started bass guitar in 1964. Self taught until beginning lessons with Tony D'Addono 1970. Began double bass in 1973 studying with Eligio Rossi at the Settlement Music School. Attended Temple College of Music in 1976 as a bass performance major. Was a pupil of Lou Kosma (Metropolitan Opera Orch.) at Temple and privately after leaving school. Earned a bass performance diploma in 1989 from the University of the Arts where I studied with Neil Courtney (Phila. Orch.) Performed with Jim McCarthy, Luther Allison, Bobby Durham, Teagle Fleming, Charles Bowen, Trudy Pitts & Mr. C., Ron Thomas, Tom Lawton, Diane Schuur, Dave Posmontier, Steve Allen, Johnny, Joey & Papa John DeFrancesco, Steve Rudolph, Sid Simmons, Duck Scott, Stanley Clarke, Denis DiBlasio, Philly Joe Jones....
