Read "Bem-Vinda Vontade" reviewed by Paul Olson

New York musician Adam Pierce is Mice Parade--note the anagrammatic qualities of the names--but he's come a long time since he played every instrument on Mice Parade's 1998 debut The True Meaning of Boodleybaye. Pierce still plays the lion's share of instruments on the new Bem-Vinda Vontade, but he's supplemented by a host of other players like keyboardist Rob King and vibes player Dylan Cristy (with whom Pierce plays in the Dylan Group). Mice Parade: Mokoondi

Read "Mokoondi" reviewed by AAJ Staff

What It Means To Be Left-Handed marks Mice Parade's eighth full-length and is first album to be released in the band's second decade of existence. In typical Mice Parade fashion, the album cuts a wide stylistic swath, but Pierces trademark stormy, intricate percussion, as well as melodic interweaving and warm, resonant ...

Mice Parade Set to Debut New Album

Self-Titled Album Continues Gorgeous Pop Odyssey That Spans Seven Albums It was the winter after returning from extensive touring behind Mice Parade's 2005 album Bem-Vinda Vontade, and founder Adam Pierce moved away from the edge of NYC, up to the wooded country near Bear Mountain. There he spent the following spring converting an old garage into a quite spacious recording studio, the best so far in a long line of his home studios. After the last piece of gear was ...
