Leading Irish Hammond organ trio - Organics have been performing and composing professionally since 1997. For the past 3 years the trio have been the jam-session house band at the Cork International jazz festival and have performed throughout the country at music festivals in Cork ,Dublin, Bray, Birr, Galway, Waterford, Omagh, Belfast.

In 2001, the group were booked as a support group to Gil Scott-Heron in Vicar Street and in 2004 were critically acclaimed for their group performance with Saxophonist Bobby Watson (Art Blakey + The Jazz Messengers) at the 2004 Cork Jazz festival and in 2005 supported Bugge Wesseltoft at the Bud Rising Festival, Dublin.

Organics feature three of Ireland’s finest young jazz musicians Justin Carroll ( Hammond Organ ), John Moriarty ( Guitar ) and Kevin Brady ( Drums ) . Their time as a trio has been marked by a seriousness about repertoire and playing together which has produced a gradual musical evolution. Organics natural chemistry was reinforced by shared musical aims and from an early stage the group have set their sights on creating and playing their own material, and on getting a wider collective knowledge of the different styles of music with the Hammond organ trio sound, which has a distinguished ” and varied ” jazz lineage. including a swinging format with an infectious beat .
