Funsho Ogundipe is a Composer and Piano Player. Born in Lagos Nigeria he has an original style which is based on Jazz. As bandleader of Ayetoro he works within the Jazz and Afrobeat fields and is a respected for both his original Piano style and his compostions which span the history of Black music from Highlife and Blues forms to Post Bop and free jazz. His band Ayetoro exists wherever the man is based . After setting up versions in london and accra Ogundipe is currently back in his native nigeria with a new band and a new Ep out as part of the next afrobeat chronicles series. Now the music is accompanied by conceptual Art from brasilian artist Prila Paiva. Ayetoro (world of peace in Yoruba) is Influenced by Afrofuturist big band projects such as Sun Ra's Arkestra, Miles Davis's electric groups and Fela Kuti's Egypt 80 .
