Andi has always been surrounded by diverse selection of music. Her father being a musician and mother a dancer exposed her to all kinds of music form an early age. Jazz quickly became a favourite to listen to, but didn't become a dominating factor until much later in life. Andi did a music degree at the Colchester institute with studies of classical saxophone and cello, but for fun played in the Jazz orchestra and went to the Jazz Singers group. The directors of these ensembles advised her to take a new direction and swap studies to Jazz voice and saxophone, so she began to study with Malcom Miles and Trudy Kerr. With changed studies and a new jazz direction Andi graduated in 2002. In 2003 Andi made her first recording “ I could be so happy” with the help of an established trio Graham Harvey-Piano, Matt Miles Bass and Matt Skelton- drums. This includes arrangements of standards as well as some lesser-known tunes by Duncan Lamont. Wanting to explore improvisation even further and improve on her craft Andi Attended the postgraduate course at the Guildhall school of music and drama. Here was a great opportunity to meet and play with like-minded people as well as learn a huge amount about the music. Andi Graduated form the Guildhall in 2004 and since then has been working as a freelance musician and tutor. Her most recent Album, It Only Takes A Moment, features some of Andi's favourite songs with arrangements by herself and members of the band. It includes the wonderful playing of Steve Melling - Piano, Geoff Gascoyne - Bass and Sebaastian De Krom - Drums.
