[SEPHA Bio in abbreviated version]

SEPHA - Multi-Artist : Composer/ Singer Songwriter/ Improvisationalist/ Multi-Instrumentalist/ Walking Art/ Planet XG

Her own unique sound and music style beyond music categories like crossover music mainly come not only from many year’s accumulated her own experiences through various kinds of her art activities as an Multi- Artist, but also from the elements of improvisation and freestyle of her own a lot.

With moving from place to place, this independent multi-artist SEPHA (also called as "SEPHA from Outer Space via Tokyo") has been doing her various kinds of music/art activities for Love, Aesthetics of diversity, and harmony, nearly for two decades through the world, including joining and supporting other artists’ projects, and working with wonderful professional musicians she greatly respects like Lonnie Plaxico (a great Jazz Bassist known also as Cassandra Wilson’s music director, worked also with Art Blakey, and many greats and more), Gary Fritz (a great Percussionist working/ worked also with George Benson, Roberta Flack, The Brand New Heavies, and many greats and more), Marvin J.Sewell (a great Guitarist working/ worked with Jack Dejohnette, Cassandra Wilson, and many greats and more) etc.

The live tours/ art projects “Words like winds” and “Cosmic Language” are some of the representative music/art projects of this artist, which were held in 90’s at N.Y., L.A., London, Paris, Tokyo.
With featured “Cosmic Language” this artist often uses, and based on this concept, the most songs were created with producing new ways of her singing, and released mainly between 1993 and 2000.

Then after that time, she created her own video art, and she released several songs for the video art works under the name of “Offbeat Gurl”, which the music is Acid Music tinged with electro and techno music tastes different from the music she had created. and she increased and expanded her activity also to nightclubs for dance music mainly in Tokyo and Sydney, to perform music with her video art works under the name, especially from 1999 to 2003.

In 2005, she set up the art project “Planet XG” in Tokyo for a humanitarian purpose, which is an expanding love project in cosmic scale with seeking after the aesthetics of diversity and the harmony, and started also the activity in Tokyo for the project.
In this art project, she organizes and produces the performing/ conceptual art events and she also has been doing her own unique performing arts with her own original music every time she writes for the stage in each event of them since 2005.

In 2010, the four best albums including the Offbeat Gurl (a.k.a. SEPHA) best album will be officially released in series, preparing for the new album coming out next year after a long interval.
