what IS squirt?

squirt is the solo guitar playing of dave esmond.

the idea behind squirt is creation. creating moments in time. creating music. creating songs and sounds on the spot. there are no real squirt songs. each track is of it's moment. chords, riffs, sounds, melodies may be repeated or reused as needed. or not. it's purely improv music.

i hope you enjoy listening to what i create as much as i enjoy creating it.

all the tracks you hear on this site and during live performances feature only a single guitar player. no later overdubs are added. nor are any pre-recorded loops used. everything you hear is as it happens.
