Eclectic composer and author, guitarist, singer and producer from Italy. He also plays piano and bass. Alan respects each language and musical style in its original form so instead of mixing heterogeneous music he usually prefer to work at different projects. He said 'I like the challenge to write root music in its original form respecting the languages: spread and preserve great music with a lot of history, trying to say something new and to push ahead the tradition... and yes I feel proud about it'. He writes full scores for instrumentalists the old good way (Duke Ellington, Gershwin etc.) His composing activity started in the 80's. He is member of SIAE since 1990. He has about 200 songs (and instrumentals) registered. His songs vary from blues to swing to jazz, from neo-rockabilly to surf and more. He's also interested in Musical and Movie Soundtracks. Since 1997 he has become a sort of young artist developer. He loves to include talented young artists in his live bands (i.e. The Flying Cats). His talent and charisma as a composer earned him the esteem of many musicians in time. Like Paolo Tommasi (double bass teacher and player), the double bassist Antonella Mazza, many singers and more. In the field of jazz he prefers a classic style New Orleans or a bluesy style as well as swing and be bop style. One of the most important and fascinating jazz songs written by Alan is “Look Look Look” sung by the vocalist Irene Di Vilio (From Milan). Other Jazz songs are “I Don't love a thing”, “I see a shadow”, “I Won't stop to sing”, “You Know I Love You” and the instrumental “Jazzrok” which is truly a be bop track. He collaborates also with the female drummer Adua Tognetti.
