Simon Mas is a guitar player and composer of international experience. He studied at Il Pentagramma (Bari, Italy), Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA), Newcastle University (Newcastle, UK), University of Texas (Austin, TX).
He received a Degree in Music and a Masters Degree in Composition and Musicology from Newcastle University.
Other achievements: * Honour student at University of Texas * On the Dean's list at Berklee College of Music.
Simon has recently completed his first Jazz project, Valentine. The album features seven young (average age: 31) musicians from Austin, Texas and six songs composed and arranged by Simon himself. The album is available to the public on a limited edition of 100 copies. Another 100 copies have been shipped to record labels, college radio stations and music magazine.
Simon is working on a second album, more blues-oriented, to be recorded in Italy in November. With some luck he will go on tour from January 2011...
