Joel Zelnik — Live At Steinway Piano Gallery ... CD Think (Japan), 2010. New Copy .... $16.99 24.99 A great recent recording from pianist Joel Zelnik – the player who's probably best remembered for his rare 60s session Move! Joel still sounds great here – working in tight trio formation with a groove that's openly lyrical, and nicely swinging – lots of those forward-thinking moments we remember from before, but with a new sort of sensitivity that's mighty nice – more than enough to get him ranked right up there with some of the better-known aging piano talents of his generation recording today – like Steve Kuhn or Denny Zeitlin! Titles include "Dream Dancing", "Turn Out The Stars", "The Opener", "Old/New Waltz", "You've Changed", and "How Deep Is The Ocean". ________________________________________
