Candice J. Hincks
Hincks is a critically acclaimed, award-winning actress and veteran of the L.A. theatre scene, remembered most notably in the MET Theatre’s Bus Stop, Picnic, (with Nick Nolte,) and 27 Wagons Full of Cotton, where she received the L.A. Drama Critics Award.
She is a founding member of the most reputable Alliance Repertory Company (ARC,) appearing in several of their productions, including But That Wasn’t Sex, The Boys Next Door, Grace to Climb With Eagles, Over the Edge Players (Improv,) Big Headed Women, Power in the Blood, Nice Tits, and Night and Her Stars, which received an Ovation Award.
She has starred and co-starred in several films, including Night Moves, The Big Birdcage, Unholy Rollers, Night Before Dawn, and Happy Go Lucky Nanny, as well as several movies of the week, which include Death Sentence, also with Nick Nolte and Cloris Leachman, Broken Promise, Ordeal of Bill Carney, and News at 11 with Martin Sheen. In addition, she is the published author of Namastae, a Blessing on the Nile.
Currently in her third appearance at the Gardenia. Musical direction is by Todd Schroeder, with Jessica Unland on back-up vocals. Candice stars in Happy Nights at the Gardenia. She also is a regular in Mews Smalls Fabulous Females in Santa Monica.
