In addition to the standard trumpets, Max is equally at home on cornet, flugelhorn, e-flat trumpet, f trumpet, g trumpet, and piccolo trumpet.

Sight reading, transposition, and improvisation in many styles.

Max has also become an acoustic guitar slinger and vocalist, writing arrangements for brass quartet & guitar with vocals, and sometimes including piano and bass in the mix.
