The Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame Student All-Star Band is a highly select group of student musicians, chosen by competitive audition from music students in the Birmingham, Alabama area, directed by Ray Reach. Students in the current group range in age from 12 to 19 years of age.

On December 19, 2010, the AJHoF Student All-Star Band was the opening act for the Grammy Award winning vocal group, Take 6. The concert took place at Old Car Heaven in Birmingham. Photos and videos of that performance may be seen at the group's Facebook page at:
