As a composer, Rodrigo E. Faina has a particularly interesting voice, and his diverse musical influences led him to create music that is often difficult to categorize. His work moves in between genres, and his unique voice has earned the recognition of numerous artists. In the last few years Rodrigo collaborated with different artists, ensembles and festivals from Europe and United States, including: Asko|Schönberg Ensemble, DoelenEnsemble, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Metropole Orchestra, Netherlands Blazers Ensemble , Vince Mendoza , David Kweksilber Big Band, Bulgaria National Radio Symphony, Gaudeamus Muziekweek, Rotterdam International Jazz Festival, Sofia Music Weeks, YO Opera Festival, FIVC , Festival Espressioni and many others. Argentinian Composer Rodrigo E. Faina, was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the 13th of October of 1976. Rodrigo’s musical education has been very eclectic. He started his musical education as guitarist playing all kind of music genres, Classical, Tango, Rock, Jazz etc. In the year 2002 he moved to The Netherlands to study Jazz guitar at the Amsterdam Conservatorium, where had the chance to take lessons with some of the finest Jazz musicians from Europe and the United States. In the year 2006 he is accepted to study composition with Paul van Brugge and Klaas de Vries at the Rotterdam Conservatory, were a few years later he obtained his Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree with honors. Nowadays Rodrigo lives in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, were he works as a freelance composer.
