The Edge

The Edge formed in 2008 and released their debut album We All Fall Down in 2009. The band was the brainchild of trumpeter Ben Thomas who composes all of their material. We All Fall Down features the lyrics and vocals of jazz singer Laura Collins. Their second album Dark Scrawls was released in 2011.

Dark Scrawls is the follow up album to We All Fall Down. Released in early 2011 it features the vocal talents of Bristol based singer Emily Wright as well as an array of musical talent from throughout the UK. All material written by Ben Thomas.

Dark Scrawls features Emily Wright, Laura Collins, Catherine Sykes and Ruth Hammond (vocals). Ben Thomas (trumpet, flugel horn, trombone and piano). Nicky Jaques and Emily Preston (saxophone). Lee Goodall (bass clarinet), Tom Greenhalf (piano), James Chadwick (guitar), Erika Lyons (double bass) and Scott Hammond (drums).

We All Fall Down features Laura Collins (vocals), Ben Thomas (trumpet, flugel horn and piano), Tom Greenhalf (piano), Emily Preston (saxophone), Erika Lyons (double bass) and Scott Hammond (drums).
