The Urban Renewal Project

Not your granddaddy's big band! The Urban Renewal Project is a modern, 12-piece big band out of Los Angeles. Led by saxophonist & composer R.W. Enoch, Jr., the Project blends the boundaries of traditional genres into a danceable, funky melange of styles from pop & rock to jazz & reggae.

Born from a high school talent show act in 2005, the Urban Renewal Project grew with Enoch for six years, as he relocated to Los Angeles and put the Project on the map with a group of the best young musicians in the entertainment capital.

The Urban Renewal Project has been playing around Southern California since 2010 at venues including The Mint, Knitting Factory's Federal Bar, and The Hip Kitty. In June 2011, they released an album of original material titled “Stop Me,” available for purchase at shows and on the iTunes and Amazon music stores. Take a look around the site and enjoy the music of The Urban Renewal Project.
