Signel-Z Collaborative Jazz Performance Group Story: Steve is lover of progressive and eclectic jazz and the son of Gene Ignelzi, a Julliard-trained musician who performed in New York during the hay day of swing, bop and Latin jazz. Steve inherited a deep-seated love of jazz, evocative composition and virtuosic musical performance from Gene and has formed Signel-Z to explore the confluence of jazz with other great elements of music. Steve’s son, Tate, is the next generation of reverent musical performer and brings a new spark to the sound and the energy. The music includes a high level of improvisation, expression from each musician, and is meant to spark interest, emotion, fun and love in the audience. The group hopes to satisfy a growing audience with powerfully evocative music. Signel-Z Mission Statement - Confident that the entire world is on the cusp of embracing a new culture of progressive mutual support couched in a sustainable lifestyle, love and excellent stewardship of the creator’s gorgeous Earth, and other scenic parts of the universe; Signel-Z is poised, inspired and ready to merge into inevitable, impending dramatic demand for creative, free- flowing, eclectic and culturally inclusive assimilated, free and original music.
