Not long ago, a musical movement hailing from America's east coast took root in the city of Phoenix to awaken the ears and souls of music loving desert dwellers throughout the “Valley of the Sun”. Mothers Favorite Child is that movement; a collective, a vibe, a sound, an entity which has taken many shapes and colors over time but has NEVER strayed from the true spirit of music. MFC is best known for presenting all forms of Soul music with the most authentic approach whether recorded or live.
The Mothers Favorite Child sound and style was initially conceived within the soul of one man, Paris Toon, producer and creator of this timeless musical movement. Paris, who has worked with several commercial R&B and Hip-Hop acts in the past, one day decided to free-fall into new territory by gathering musicians and vocalists from different parts of the country to help deliver his own lyrical and musical creations from his head into the world of hungry listeners. After carefully selecting the right pieces for his puzzle, Paris soon bestowed upon the internet and live music scene an original project, wrapped in a warm and familiar comforter of full-bodied Soul music. This project was enthusiastically embraced and soon became a highly requested and respected sound all over the globe.
