Bliss Bomb is a smoldering female-fronted nine-piece band playing a dynamic blend of pop, funk and jazz, with a sexy-sophisticated vibe that harkens back to old Hollywood glamour and smokey film noir.
Bliss Bomb was born out of a musical collaboration between three childhood friends, Jim Hardiman, Chris Hale and Sean McArthur, and singer/vixen Seana Fisher. This fruitful chemistry produced a handful of original songs and a 2008 EP Ethereality. This line up parted ways due to geographic reasons and never performed on stage together.
Founding member and drummer Jim Hardiman spent the better part of 2009 recruiting all new members with the intent of continuing the Bliss Bomb imperative of creating music that moves the body, stirs the soul and awakens the senses.
New singer Lisa Marinacci grew up listening to her father play Misty on the piano and was mentored by world renowned jazz guitarist, Joe Negri. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, she graduated from Carnegie Mellon University and spent many years in New York City writing and performing. She also lived in Las Vegas, where she performed in nearly every top casino with bands such as Harbor Lights Music, The Las Vegas Tenors, and musician Jimi Brent. A few years ago she released a jazz album with Mr. Negri titled Waiting for Spring, and is currently in the final stages of writing her rock musical, The Devil and Daisy Jane, which was recently performed as a staged reading in Hollywood, CA. Rounding out Bliss Bomb’s nine-piece instrumentation is guitarist Matt Piper, bassist Oliver Steinberg, keyboardist Gerald Thompson, back-up singers Gina D'Acciaro and Sharyn Kehaulani Gabriel, tenor saxophonist Dan Heffernan and percussionist Gary Grantham.
