Wayne also maintains a private music-teaching studio and does freelance session work. Among the events Wayne has promoted are performances and/or clinics with The Dave Holland Quintet, The Mike Stern Band, and The Dave Weckl Band.

Wayne's work has been funded through grants from the national arts councils, numerous radio stations, as well as through provincial and regional funding bodies. Wayne's performance history includes appearances at various Canadian Jazz and Blues Festivals, University music showcases, numerous television appearances, and extensive club work. Wayne's CD releases include REGALS - The Double-Duo Sessions (TetraArtist, 2011), Milligan-Eagles Project (TetraArtist, 2005) and the solo CD How's Now?
