Jeff Cosgrove

For the past few years drummer Jeff Cosgrove has been developing his personal and interpretive style while performing in groups across diverse musical genres.

Growing up in the Washington, D.C., area, Jeff was exposed to all types of music, and that's helped him keep an open musical mind and shape his versatile style.

Jeff has recently released his first recording as a leader, Motian Sickness - The Music of Paul Motian to international critical acclaim. The group features Jamie Masefield on mandolin, Mat Maneri on viola, John Hebert on bass, and Jeff on drums.

In addition to Motian Sickness, Jeff performs solo drumset concerts, duos with saxophonists Kurtis Adams and Anita Thomas. Equally at home in free improvisation and more straight ahead situations.
