Awards are nice but it was never the main focus of what I wanted to do a Musician & Jazz Artist. When I perform in or out of uniform for an audience of any's for this reason I do what I do: “I believe that this nation is in enough distress as it is, so if there is way I can encourage anyone, either through speaking, listening, or music, that's what I'll do. I can't change the world, but I can try to lighten the burdens of those around me.”
”A Staff Sgt. in the Air Force Security Forces, Holliday keeps the Homestead Air Reserve Base safe during night shifts. But on weekends, he sheds his uniform for snazzy suits and matching fedoras, and trades his semi-automatic M9 pistol and M4 Carbine for a trumpet. He plays at festivals, sports events and military ceremonies.” ***By Christina Veiga, The Miami Herald***

SMSgt Willfredo Vargas, Superintendent of Operations Security Forces “ SSgt Johnny Holiday is one of our top troops. He does an excellent job and he is always using his talents off duty to reach out to the community and make our unit look good.” ***482nd FW Citizen Airman Spotlight***

“Staff Sgt. Johnny Holliday, 506th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron, lent his musical talents to more than 60 live events during his deployment here, which included ceremonies, holiday functions and memorial services. Word about his talents spread like wild fire during his deployment, and he was soon asked to play at various events throughout the base. Up until that point, the sergeant was more interested in training to become an Air Force para-rescue man. Sergeant Holliday’s experiences playing for the Airmen during his deployments convinced him to pursue a career in music.” ***By Senior Airman Eric Schloeffel Kirkuk Air Base, Iraq Public Affairs***

“Johnny Holliday is a phenomenal musician, able to play masterfully several instruments and sing as well. His talents are such that I believe that he should probably devote his full time and energy to performing. The remarkable thing is that he doesn't do it for self aggrandizement or seeking to profit from it. He uses his craft to serve others and as a platform to transmit a positive and fruitful message.” ***Brigadier General Hector E. Pagan, U.S. Army Special Forces***

“Johnny Holliday has performed here at Homestead Miami Speedway on several occasions. He has done an excellent job in front of audiences up to 70,000 spectators.” ***Al Garcia, VP/Operations Homestead Miami Speedway***

“Recently I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Johnny Holliday. In addition to being an Active Duty Military member, Mr. Holliday is a wonderfully talented and successful Jazz Artist. After listening to the work form his latest album “In The Light” There was no question… Mr. Holliday would be a great addition and representative of Marcinkiewicz Co. Mr. Holliday has an incredible work ethic, which is consistently reconfirmed by following his successful playing career.” ***Zack Marcinkiewicz, GM Marcinkiewicz Co Inc***

“Johnny Holliday has extensive experience performing for the U.S. military, including a previous tour with the Air Force Show Band “Tops in Blue.” His commitment to entertaining his fellow Service men and women is exemplary. When Johnny performs, his dedication to both the music and the Armed Force is evident.” ***Douglas M. Fraser, (4-Star) General , U.S. Air Force Commander***

“...Recently I secured Johnny Holliday to play at multiple events centered around Air Combat Command's outstanding Airman of the Year Festivities, to include being the head-liner for the culminating banquet. Johnny Holliday stole the show and we received many kudos for a first-class event.” ***Martin S. Klukas, Chief Master Sergeant, USAF, Command Senior Enlisted Leader***
