Adam Taylor
Adam Taylor is a guitarist, composer and teacher from Oxford and currently based in Leeds.
He is the winner of the Leeds College of Music “606 club” competition 2013 (Aeroplanes at Brescia), semi-finalist for the Bucharest international jazz competition 2013 (Quei Due) and candidate for the Golden jazz trophy 2013 (France).
Adam also won the Performer of the year 2008/9 award and in 2009 the award for “excellence in music” at the Cherwell school.
Notable past performances include: Blue Note jazz club (Milan), Notte di Notte Festival (Italy), Leeds College of Music “The sound of success” gala concert, the great north big band festival and Café Jazz club (Cardiff).
Adam performs with various groups in and around Leeds including: Quei Due, Aeroplanes at Brescia, Bare Bare Bears, the Christine Andrews contemporary jazz orchestra and as a solo performer.
Adam recently transcribed music for the Gil Evans estate.
